WIBTA for laughing at my parents if they get sick
I f16 found out we were getting goats I little over a month ago
This goats can be milk so my parents want to starts getting there milk
Cool right no my parents want to drink the milk raw I tried to tell them the harmful bacteria in raw milk
My dad said if we boil it it will lose of its Nutrients and my mom said what do you think the farmers back in the day did I don't know
I said to my parents I would be boiling my milk and making my own cheese and I said if you get sick from that I would laugh at them for being idiots
My mom thinks I am being dramatic ummm no I am not I have stomach issues all ready I don't need this
I did ask my dad if he got sick would he stop drinking it and he did say maybe
Yeah I know laughing at them when they are down is mean
So would I be the butt hole if I laughing at my parents if they get sick
Edit Number one, me and my family have a very dark sense of humor. Like, very dark sense of humor. We make fun of each other in a very lighthearted way.
So when I said I would “laugh at you,” I didn’t mean I would laugh because you got sick. I meant I would laugh because at I will laugh at the observing.
Also, when this came up, we were having a very calm discussion about it. My mom is very on the “it won’t hurt us” side and basically said if she gets sick, she gets sick. My dad said if he gets sick, he would stop doing it.
I also didn’t add this before, but my mom has tried to prove her point before, so I would not put it past her if she tried to add raw milk into anything I eat just to prove a point. She has done things like that before.
And I have very bad stomach issues. If my food is undercooked, I can get violently sick and throw up, and my whole body gets weak and painful to move.
That’s why I reacted the way I did because I would be frustrated if something like that happened after I warned against it.
Edit 2 For the people saying I’m being mean and have no empathy, I do. Me and my family just have really dark humor and joke with each other like this all the time.
Not that long ago I tried to bake a cake, it didn’t cook properly, I ate some of it, and I got really sick from it. My parents still joke about it because I apparently cannot bake for the life of me.
So when I said I would laugh, I didn’t mean I want them to get sick or that I would enjoy them suffering. It would be more out of frustration because I warned them about it and they ignored me, not because I actually want anything bad to happen to them.
Edit 3 We got the goats yesterday and my mom milk them today and ask if we can tell the difference between cows milk and goats milk which I couldn't tell and the goat milk was not boiled I did drink the tiny sip of it because I don’t have a backbone yeah I know I am trying to get one And me and my brother clearly said we would boil are milk and she got really piss saying how we are just going to burn her pots and my dad said how it will just get rid of the good stuff I look it up it is very illegal to give someone raw milk when you told them you don't want to drink it I am going to have a talk with my parents I will record it (I live it a one party contest) I will tell them it very clearly if you switch my milk out I will tell the cops and it is very illegal especially due to my age So yeah
