Hey everyone, I made this map animation myself and I’m trying to improve my skills in this field.

I’d really appreciate some honest and constructive feedback on the animation. I’m especially interested in what I could improve in terms of the camera movement, transitions, map design, pacing, and overall presentation.

If there are any things that feel off or could be done better, please let me know. I’m also open to recommendations for tutorials or resources that could help me improve.

Hey everyone,

We're a small motion design team and we're fairly comfortable with map animations and GeoLayers workflows, but we're still quite new when it comes to character animation.

One thing we're curious about is how creators animate characters in explainer videos especially things like eye blinks, mouth movements, facial expressions, and subtle character acting. In many videos, the characters feel very alive and expressive, and we're wondering how professionals typically approach this.

Do people usually

Draw multiple facial expressions manually?
Use character rigging tools?
Use plugins like Duik, Limber, Rubberhose, Joysticks 'n Sliders, etc.?
Animate mouths frame-by-frame or use some kind of lip-sync workflow?

We're not necessarily trying to become full-time character animators, but we'd love to learn enough to integrate these kinds of character animations into our videos when needed.

For those of you who learned this skill, what courses, tutorials, YouTube channels, or learning paths would you recommend? And what would be the most practical way to start if we already have a decent understanding of After Effects and motion design?
