Drum Shield Nedir - Neye Yarar?

Davulcu zaten arka planda, kutuya alınması sahne kompozisyonunu bozmuyor.

Ayyuka grubun davulcusu kuzenime de sordum, aynen öyle dedi.

The period of Back to School sale and discounts began!

August is normally the deadest month in this hobby. Nothing launches, half the industry is on holiday, the forums go quiet. Then the Back to School sale shows up and the wishlist gets opened again.

Live from today until the 26th. 60+ sets on the list, twenty dollars up to three hundred, and I checked every one against the manufacturer documentation instead of the promo copy. A couple of the driver counts needed explaining.

Full breakdown is up, with all the codes and what you actually pay after the discount stacks. Thanks to HiFiGo for hosting this one.

What's on your list this time?

Back to school sale runs August 17 to 26, across HiFiGo, AliExpress and Amazon. Sixty products, full writeup with descriptions and every store link going up on mobileaudiophile.com once it opens.

A few worth flagging early: Softears Twilight at $700 (rarely discounts at all), Muse HiFi M5 Ultra at 40% off, AFUL Performer5 down to $158.39. Nine sets also stack an AliExpress coupon on top of the sale price, so the Performer 5+2 goes to $175.11 and the Davinci to $211.59.

Full disclosure, some links in the post will be affiliate links (Amazon, HiFiGo). Doesn’t change your price.

Noble Audio Knight review 🫡

[review here](https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/noble-audio-knight-review-nobles-289-doorway-and-what-happens-when-you-change-the-tips/)

Pros:

• Tribrid configuration with real parts, Sonion BA and piezo tweeter, at $289

• Driver speed that refuses to smear on fast, dense material

• Separation and layering above what the price bracket normally allows

• Scales up with better sources instead of falling apart, and scales again behind a desktop amp

• Build and presentation that shame most of its competition

• Genuinely useful eartip selection that meaningfully changes the tuning

Cons:

• Closed layout means limited air, and the stock tips make that worse

• Large housings, small ears may struggle

• Not razor sharp out of the box, needs tip work to reach its ceiling

• Recessed 2-pin socket rejects hooded QDC connectors

• Presentation sits between laid back and forward without picking a side, which will frustrate people who want a decisive signature

Noble Audio Knight first impressions, Noble’s $289 entry point actually surprised me

Got the Knight on my desk this week. This is Noble’s attempt at an entry level IEM and honestly the whole package feels like a proper project, not a budget afterthought. The inner box opens like a chest and there’s a shield shaped case holding all the eartips, which caught my eye before the IEMs themselves did.

Quick specs for anyone curious: tribrid, 26 ohm, 104 dB/mW, aluminum shell with a 3D acrylic faceplate, 8-core silver plated OFC cable terminated in 4.4mm.

Some early listening notes:
With stock tips on Toto’s Africa the playback covers everything, almost too much. You could say it steps slightly out of the monitor role there. Presentation sits somewhere between laid back and forward. The fit not fully locking in my ear puts an almost transparent filter between me and the music, and it doesn’t come across super sharp at first. But on other tracks I realized that softness was mostly down to the recording era. Threw on some classic Joe Bonamassa and everything was glass clear in front of me. Stage width is solid too, reaches behind left and right, though not T5 territory.

What impressed me most is driver speed. Fast tracks don’t trip it up and there’s no muddying or frequency bleed, which kills a lot of IEMs at this price. Even folk stuff played way above normal tempo stays clean. And when I stopped playing it safe and flipped to high gain it actually got better, like it was waiting for it. Emotional electric guitar solos become a whole different experience on this thing.

Still testing eartips (the shield box has a bunch and they change the sound noticeably) and stronger sources. Will report back.
Anyone else tried the Knight? Curious how it compares to other tribrids around $300 for you.

Won the ERAND Resonance 5 giveaway from HIFICHOI, happy

Got picked in the HIFICHOI giveaway for the Resonance 5, still processing it a little. Peeked at the spec sheet and driver config before it even ships and honestly the 2DD+2BA+1MPD setup with the 5-tube crossover has some interesting engineering behind it, not just marketing fluff.

Will drop impressions once it’s actually in hand and burned in a bit. Big thanks to the HIFICHOI team for running this.

JDS Labs Atom 2 + Dac 2 + VE Vanguard 300ohm 4.4mm BAL setup

Meet our new desktop amp and dac JDS Labs Atom 2 + Dac 2. I tried it today for more than 2 hours with the 300 oHm headphone and stock interconnect cables .

The result was highly satisfying for the huge power need of the beast. And elegant too. Our base of operations enlarged today. Actual mobile section will be upgraded in two days with a surprising combo or brick.

Stay tuned. ;)

Ps: I have special plans for the desktop part of our base of operations

Fiio k5 pro or the power of the aged.

While clearing the stocks, I stumbled upon this nondescript metal box. 📦

Forgot I even had this thing honestly. FiiO K5 Pro, AK4493 version, been sitting in a drawer for who knows how long while I was chasing newer stuff. Plugged it back in today just to see and damn, this old boy still hits hard. Volume knob feel alone is worth more than half the plastic desktop amps coming out now.

Not gonna lie, sometimes the “old” gear just does something the new stuff cant replicate, that AK4493 signature has a warmth to it that a lot of newer chips try too hard to correct away.

Anyone else got a piece of gear that got buried and then blew you away when you rediscovered it?

Newsflash: Binary Audio - 1900 10mm DD + 4mm PD + 4BA

Binary Acoustics which released many uniquely good iems, just dropped the 1900, a 10mm DD + 6mm passive diaphragm + 4BA hybrid and honestly the driver config alone is worth talking about.

The passive radiator thing is not something you see every day in this price range, it sits behind the main dynamic driver and basically resonates with it to add extra bass body without needing more power, think fuller and more “felt” low end rather than just louder. Whether it actually works or turns into a muddy mess depends entirely on how well Binary tuned the crossover, but the idea is sound.
4BA handling the mids and highs, so probably leaning smoother and more layered rather than hyper-detailed and aggressive.

Name and artwork are a pretty clear reference to The Legend of 1900, the film about the pianist who never left the ship. Piano on the rocks, stormy ocean, the silhouette inside the zero, Binary is not exactly being subtle here. So my guess is they’re going for something warm, cinematic, vocal-friendly rather than a reference tuning
or anything analytical.

No price or release date yet. Watching this one.
