Doing my first solo Europe trip before a conference in Switzerland and wanted to get a reality check on whether this itinerary is reasonable or if I’m trying to pack too much into ~1 week.

I’ll be staying in hostels the whole trip and mostly using trains (maybe buses for a few segments if cheaper/faster).

Current itinerary:

• Jun 23–24: Strasbourg, France
• Jun 25–26: Munich, Germany
• Jun 27: Salzburg + Hallstatt, Austria
• Jun 28: Travel to Bern, Switzerland
• Jun 29 – Jul 1: Conference in Bern

Questions:

1. Am I underestimating travel fatigue/hostel hopping?
2. Any logistical mistakes or train issues I should know about?

Trying to balance sightseeing, food, wandering around, and nightlife. I travel a lot for my school/work, so I am feeling confident about the fatigue. Still, wanted an informed opinion and to check if I was missing something obvious.

Would appreciate any advice from people who’ve done similar Central Europe trips.
