Stupid question, but are boots like these actually suitable for working outdoors or are they more just for fashion?

First ones are Carlos Santos and the second are Meermin.

Genuine question because I love the way these look and want to get a pair but they are quite expensive and I'm not sure if these are made for working or more just for fashion. sorry if it's a dumb question.
