Diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, told to stop hrt
So a few days ago I went to the hospital for some bad chest pain and shortness of breath, and after getting a contrast CT done I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. The doctors at that hospital told me to immediately stop hrt and I was and still am, very devastated that I might have to.
However, a doctor that I got a second opinion from said that that is outdated medical advice and I am safe to continue. My own personal research via Google says neither is correct and I need to temporarily stop and then switch from pills to patches.
Frankly I am already very devastated emotionally and just need well structured advice on what I can do, I don't want to lose all my progress and I don't want to detransition, but I've been told not doing so will kill me.
