Do your photos taken with Halide mk III keep their 12MP resolution after editing, or do the ones taken with the 2x crop cameras (e.g. 48mm) drop down to 3MP like mine did systematically? Shooting on iPhone 17 Pro here, both 2x and 8x cameras exhibit the same issue. Don’t need to anything other than e.g. change the exposure and save the photo for this to happen. Never saw this on the real physical cameras that don’t use crop to create the zoom-in.
My understanding is that Halide upscales even the crop camera photos to the same 12MP, and indeed the initial save is that – but after edit it drops down to the non-upsampled resolution. Don’t think this is intended behaviour.
My trial ran out already, and never got any response from the support on this after multiple reports. Not very interested in making the purchase until I know the issue has been dealt with.
