Are there any studies done on how much sat fats can we eat and the effect it has on statins, like we know a 10mg rosuvastatin lowers ldl by around 45%, does it have the same effect when a 20 gr of sat fats is eaten daily, what about only 10 or maybe 40 gr a day, any studies done?
I was planning on eating 20 gr of chicken liver a day to get all those benefits. But noticed it has 500mg of cholesterol, what do we know about that, does it affect our cholesterol at all, any studies done?
32M, lpa 1.32g/l
Last month
ldl 142 mg/dl, hdl 28 mg/dl, trigs 81, apob 1.03 g/l
This month
ldl 153 md/dl, hdl 36 mg/dl, trigs 67, apob 1.03 g/l
More time is needed or? Why the raise? No supplements, only BP 8mg pills.
It seems the statin only reduces around 20% the risk, this seems really low, is it because ldl is not the sole reason for heart disease? Lots of people end up in ER with low cholesterol, has anyone dug this black hole and found anything interesting, what other markers are as important as the ldl/apob for heart disease?
I was prescripbed lipocomb which is a combination of 10mg rosuva and 10mg ezetimibe, I noticed on the prospect it says not to start with this medicine, and first to take separate pills, anyone know why, are there any bigger risks?
Anyone knows the amount of omega 3 and omega 6 bryan is reaching for, as well as the ratio?
Are there any studies done on comparing the two? For example saturated fats from nuts vs saturated fats from some processed food. Was anyone able to find anything interesting related to this?
We need at least 1000mg of calcium per day, which comes from food mostly with saturated fats, and if not it comes from food that we need to consume large quantities of, like 100gr of milk powder. Any ideas?
I feel like compound exercises/body/calisthenics types are way better for longevity than isolated exercises, are there any studies done on this, any thoughts?
For example, I feel like pullups are far superior to pullovers. I am not talking strength gain or hypertrophy, strictly for longevity and overall health.
Not sure if this is the right sub, but it has to do with the mind so should be close.
The main reason of why I d start doing meditation is to get rid of my fears, phobias, anxiety.. like fear of flying with a plane, health anxiety that I think they come from being too emotional over shit, like getting too angry than is actually needed, stuff like that.
I think I am looking to desensitize myself, less emotion, is that possible with meditation, anyone done it, how?
Did anyone test ldl/apob reduction with more than 10gr of soluble fiber, are there any studies done in bigger quantities like 20, 30 gr of soluble fiber, and how is the body reacting to it, I assume lots of soft stool in the begining at least?
I already get 10gr of sf from food, was wondering if I need to take psy husk as well.
