California Trip from the UK — Car Hire or Taxis?

Hi there! I'm from the UK, travelling to California in Spring next year. We'll visit for a fortnight, and of course, Disney is a non-negotiable!

We'll fly into LAX and go to Anaheim first. Then, stay in West Hollywood for a few days before travelling down to San Diego. Flying out of San Diego.

I was thinking of renting a car, but the parking in LA is eye-wateringly expensive! Do I need to suck it up? Or is it better to use Lyft and Uber?

Another factor is that we've not driven in the USA, so I'm a little nervous!

I welcome any thoughts or feedback! Thanks so much for your help.

Dairy-free chocolate ice cream (UK / European ingredients)

This recipe worked out better than I expected, and it was so easy! It's not too "unhealthy" either.

  • 3 x Alpro Dark Chocolate Desserts (125g each)
  • 150ml Califia Oat Milk
  • 1tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Dr. Oetker Dark Chocolate Chunks (handful thrown on top at the end)

This was mixed in the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe, on Lite, and then re-spun once with a bit of extra oat milk.

There are a lot of stunning US-based recipes on this subreddit, but we don't always have access to pudding mixes etc! So, I hope this can help some of us across the pond.

It's a lovely creamy texture — I'm tempted to try some of the other Alpro puddings.
