Extremely rude man on GWR 8:47 am Oxford to London Paddington this morning

I experienced some extremely toxic behaviour on a GWR train from Oxford to London Paddington this morning. I (40F) boarded the train with my two children and had three seats reserved. Two were empty, so my kids could immediately sit down, the third seat was occupied by a male in his late 20s (black tshirt, glasses, petit/small built) who refused to get up and used offensive and racist language towards me. The entire coach A just stayed quiet. Eventually, he vacated the seat but the fact that nobody interfered or offered me assistance and that behaviour like this towards women is tolerated on GWR trains is mind boggling to me. Thinking about you all female commuters - stay safe!

Update: reported to the GWR Police

Update 2: They responded and have CCTV footage.

Chess Clubs in Oxford

Hello lovely people!

I will be staying in Oxford for the month of August and would love to connect with fellow chess players for a few games. Are there any official (or unofficial) chess clubs that I could join for a month? Thanks for any suggestions!

Customer profiles - do SAs add any “flags” in store to customer profiles in the system?

Does anyone who works at Aritzia (or shops there regularly) know how customer profiles work?

I was in line behind another customer today, and when the SA pulled up her profile, she called another SA over and they quietly looked at the screen together for a few seconds. After that, the SA’s entire demeanor toward the customer changed - she became noticeably cold and rude.

When it was my turn, the same SA was friendly and upbeat again.

It made me wonder: do SAs have the ability to leave notes or flags on customer profiles that other employees can see? If so, what kind of information
is recorded?

Also, are customers able to request to see what’s on their profile, or is that information only available internally?

I’m genuinely just curious whether anyone knows how the system works or has experienced something similar.

Bond dress sizing saga

So an update to my earlier post about the Bond dress sizing:

I sized down to 0 in the Crepette version of the dress (regular dress size 2, Effortless pants size 4) and really love the fit.

I ordered the linen version in size 0 as it just went on sale, received it today and while it still fits well around the bust and waist, it is 1.5 inch shorter than the Crepette version, making it totally unwearable for me. I am 5’3, 52 kg. It is soooo short, you guys.

So back it goes.

Bond Dress - Crepette

Is the Bond Dress supposed to fit all loose around the bust? I’ve now tried two different sizes, 4 (which I wear in Effortless pants) and 2 (my usual dress size at Aritzia) and both are incredibly loose around the bust and the under bust seam feels pretty off. I haven’t tried 0 yet as will need to order it first - my store doesn’t have any of the Bond Crepette dresses in stock. It looks exactly the same on me as on the model in the pics. What size did you go with if you purchased/own this dress?
Thanks xx

Follow up on my earlier post “Linen: Utility shirt (100% linen) as a set with PowerLinen or CruiseLinen Effortless?”

As promised, here is an update on my earlier “Linen” post. I ordered both the Admiral and Black Utility shirt and PowerLinen Effortless shorts. As you can see in the photos, the shirt is much thinner linen and even though it is 100% it has a sheen to it. The PowerLinen Effortless shorts (Black mid length; Admiral mini shorts) have more of a textured, heavier feel and look. The PowerLinen feels more lux while the 100% Utility shirts seems thinner to me than in previous years (I have the white one from 2 years ago). So while the different types of fabric don’t give a “set” look, the two pieces look put together for lack of better words. Hope this helps someone like me who can’t find these items in their local store…

Does the Utility Shirt in linen (100% linen) go better with the Effortless pants/shorts in PowerLinen (67% linen) or CruiseLinen (34% linen), if trying to wear them as a set in the same dark colour? Txs to anyone who owns or has tried them on a set xx
