It's like the plot fits, but the format doesn't. If anyone knows of any movies with the same plot of the magic lipstick, PLEASE drop them here! I really wonder if the episode was inspired by the movie I saw, or vice versa, if anything else was made based on this episode. That, or my memory decided to block out Australia & turn it into a full-length movie for no reason.

[1980s-2000s] American or Canadian movie centered around a kid who receives a magical ChapStick/lipstick to make himself popular and desirable with the girls at school. I don't remember if it's the main plot, but I very firmly remember a classroom scene where a boy sits at his desk with his backpack on the floor beside him, and applies a ChapStick/lipstick and all the girls are suddenly obsessed with him. They turn around in their seats one by one. I think one or a few come over and either kiss him or flirt. I THINK he was given the ChapStick/lipstick earlier in the movie by a mysterious person who told him something like it would give him what he wanted. (I think it was an older person who gave it to him, but can't remember gender or appearance, or I might be mixing it up with another movie. But I don't think he just stumbled across it. It was bought or given.) He wanted to be popular/desired, but when girls act obsessively, he's scared. Similar energy to the Buffy episode where everyone is obsessed with Xander, but the kids in this movie are younger, somewhere between 5-15. I checked whether it was a Stephen King short story adaptation because it's weird enough, à la Dreamcatcher, Thinner, etc. but haven't been able to find anything. Done internet searches, tried Letterboxd, everything I can, so Reddit brains, you are my last hope!

I'd be so grateful if anyone knows what this might be. It was extremely weird, but I'd like to rewatch it just so I can stop being bugged by that one scene for another 20 years. TIA!

P.S. The classroom scene is the only thing I'm certain of, so other details might be wrong. I'll check out anything that might be it, such as if it's in another language or outside my year range etc. It wouldn't have been newer than early 2000s, and the quality seemed decent enough to not be from before the 80s, but who knows. I only saw it once on TV, I was young and this was before internet searching a movie after you've watched it was the norm.

P.P.S. I watched Munchie (1992) tonight, and in the first half I was convinced I'd finally found the magical ChapStick movie. The nonsense fantasy/wish-granting vibe made me think that scene was coming. But nope. I was crestfallen. Hence why I came here.
