Can the monsters fly and stuff cuz in s1 ep1 the girl and her mom were upstairs and the grandma was out of their window???

Also when they came in colony house the girl was on a upstairs floor so they can definitely fly and I think they know when something is about to happen because when Tabitha came in ambulance and Boyd was in the bus with Randall we can hear Randall say that they were not their as per their usual schedule and it was strange and the next scene is ambulance pulling through so the monsters definitely knew about it and had a plan all along.
