Sex framework “Inlove”: quick update
No more edgy, mysterious posts, let’s talk straight. What I’m building right now is a sex framework, like WickedWhims for The Sims or OStim for Skyrim. It will probably end up being a mix of both, since they’re my inspirations. And to be clear from the start: it will be free, obviously. This is not yet another scam.
I’m making this post because I just reached a new milestone, as you can see in the video: launching an animation on a piece of furniture (here, a table) and having it play exactly where it should. It’s a big step, because it means the framework should be able to cover pretty much every feature you knew in The Sims 4.
In the beginning I racked up win after win, until I hit the animation problem: Supponpon’s body has no animatable genitals, and I didn’t want to touch their files. My first solution, a 3D accessory that replaced the pubic area when an animation started, was the wrong one: as you can see in the second video in my posts, the piece was ugly, showed up after the animation had already started (so much for realism), had holes and wasn’t the right color.
So I rebuilt the Zoi body from scratch (yes, I always have ideas that save me time). It took a while, but the framework will have rebuilt bodies with 3D genitals that CAN be animated (rotation for the penis, opening for the vulva).
About the animations: I’m not an animator or a 3D artist, and I simply can’t make high-quality ones. There will be some included with the framework, but don’t expect anything mind-blowing. Same goes for the rebuilt bodies. I hope Supponpon keeps going with their project and can offer us animatable genitals one day.
On the other hand, the framework is designed for animators from day one. Anyone will be able to add their own animations in their own mod, without touching the framework. A short card describing the animation (its name, position, location: floor, table, bed…) is all it takes, and the framework finds it on its own and adds it to the menu. So if you’re an animator, or know animators, spread the word: you’re the ones who will make this framework rich. That’s also where diversity will come from, since I’ve had some feedback about that.
Right now, the framework lets you have sex with any adult. That’s not the realism I’m going for at all: I need to find a way to block the interaction until you have at least 50 love with the Zoi. That’s just to start with. Later I’ll mix in charisma, tastes, desires, etc.
My goal: adapt my 11 animations from Crusader Kings 3 (my own) to inZOI, block the interaction in the Love panel, then release a first alpha. I’d really love to get there next week, ideally before the next game update, which will either ruin all my work or make it easier, we’ll see.
