My group recently replaced our old dm because they were neglecting the group and some of us had a falling out with them outside of the game. As the only other seasoned dm, I have stepped up to take there place and run the group.

Issue is, my character is already deeply tied into this group (like the adopted father of 2 PC’s) and the group really wants them to continue with the party. The backstory for my character allows them to become the BBEG quite easily (where the other campaign was headed actually) so that’s where im going to take them further in the campaign.

So yea,any tips on running the game and playing at the same time?

Despite all the horrible things we see on social media, and despite how it feels like how the world ends every couple months, things are better then they ever have been, there has never been a better time to be alive. The world seems really big and scary, and it can feel like your just falling through it or that it’s rushing past you, but take a moment to breathe. Look around. Look at the people you love and the sky above you. Look at the world 50 years ago compared to now. We are all going to be ok, the future is bright for all of us. I’m close to graduating HS and my generation has always been shown how bad the world is but I know that everything is going to be alright.

Secondly, for all the somewhat less positive people calling me kid who is to young understand yet

I have had friends commit suicide,one in front of me, I work in a homeless shelter in my city, I have racial slurs shouted at me at school for existing. I have every reason to believe it’s all over. But it isn’t. For every moment of anger and fear I have 100 small moments of love and joy, kindness between people, a smile from a stranger or a compliment that made my day. I am the first member of my family to attend a non segregated school through to high school. My best friend lives in Ukraine, so we are well acquainted with the fear that he may not get online one day, but when he dose, we laugh, we have fun. The world isnt perfect by a long shot, but it is on its way there. As my dad told me, “look where you want to go” and I am looking to a better word.
