Anyone else in and around the Prahan/Windsor area noticed an alarming amount of dead or injured ring tail possums? My partner and I have spotted approx. 10 in two weeks just walking around the neighbourhood between Punt Road and Chapel st.
We contacted Wild Life Vic a few days ago. They have done some testing for poisoning. No news yet.
They told us, if we find more (since then 3 in 2 days) to check for joeys. They also warned us to keep an eye on our pets when they’re outside. Someone could be baiting the poor animals.
Passing on this info to anyone else who lives in the area.
