Hi, new to wargamming, not new to 40k or 30k (in terms of lore), I know that 3rd edition is getting a lot of flack (not saying it's unverisally hated just a lot of people do have issues with it).

Wondering if getting into 3rd is easier or harder for someone who hasn't played the previous editions and is more new to wargamming in general?

And also what were the major problems with this edition?

For added reference plan on doing a traitor legion astartes build not sure if that changes anything.

(edit) also do you need to get the starter kit? One thing that is a bit of a nitpick I don't like the new Saturnine Terminator Armor design
