Hi everyone, I have a question regarding H. pylori. My partner has tested positive for it, while my own test came back negative. We’ve been together for over two years and are in very close contact (kissing, sharing utensils, etc.), so I’m wondering how it’s possible that I haven’t been infected. Since finding out about her diagnosis, I’ve started feeling some nausea, but I’m not sure if this could just be stress-related and anxiety rather than an actual infection. I haven’t taken any stomach medications or antibiotics for months, so I assume my test result shouldn’t be a false negative. Do you think I should get retested after she finishes treatment, just to be sure?
