Does anyone know how to?
I watch on iqiyi (I like the quality and subtitiles!) more than youtube. But the AI dramas are KILLING me.
Out of the the top 10 verticals, only 1 was non-AI. And all those AI verticals are near p*rn !
How do I filter out AI dramas?
I was a hard-core fan for 38 episodes.
39th episode felt off pace, but I reconciled after reading a bunch of comments and discussing it.
Episode 40 felt like it was back into peak storytelling.
Then 41 drops.
Not giving any spoilers but I still maintain - he has taken 99 steps towards her and she has taken half a step.
She’s never wrong.
He’s the one constantly learning and growing. She’s perfect.
I love a female centric drama (new life begins is one of my favorites). But by making her completely perfect and still making it feel unrealistic.
I never looked at this drama as a romantic drama. But the director introduced all the elements and then yanked it away and left us hanging.
Maybe this is why the director had the drugging scene so we’ve be against the ML and on FL’s side.
But too much of FL’s steadfastness when he’s done all that like she’s not being honest with the ML and he will accept whatever she gives him (is it love? Is it gratitude? Can you not with one word/gesture show that he means the world to you like you do to him vs just show that you’ve accepted to sleep with him ?)
My biggest beef with the director - the romance element shouldn’t have been introduced at all. The respect between the two after the grave scene should’ve been enough. But once they did showcase it, they did not execute it to the end properly.
I was far too invested in the story of these fictional characters than my own life. And I feel …. empty.
Came across a very short clip of this show where wang KaiMu give me chills with his cold acting.
I searched for this and found it on Dailymotion, but I hate daily motion with all the ads.
Are there any other known sources for this drama?
Help! I was watching about 5 minutes of this drama and it got removed from youTube. The title wasn't even in English for me to search for it.
ML: Zhang Chi
He's a top fancy lawyer. She's a reporter.
They meet when he comes into town and is taking on a high-profile case (of course, he's on the side of the downtrodden). She's covering the event when she sees who he is.
Of course, they have history.
They meet in college (I think .. or high school). He's mute/speech impaired and poor. She's a rich girl. She pays for his college fees if he can call her JieJie.
The last scene I saw before it got removed was him reminiscing bitterly - he had gone to her with a cake and a lone candle. It's his birthday (or hers, I couldn't tell). She cruelly rejects him saying "who wants to spend a birthday with you" or something like that.
After I gushed about when fish swim to land ( https://www.reddit.com/r/CShortHaven/s/dWOk85YmsU ), I went on Hei Zi, the ML, rabbit hole.
Stumbled on this delightful mini drama (not vertical) on you tube.
For how intense the story is, the interactions are quite funny. Hei Zi is charming and rugged enough to make a prince believable.
Don’t know if a proper longer version exists because the YouTube edits felt choppy, but I’d still recommend it

I watched an adorable vertical on IQIYI.
Main Cast: Hei Ze (as Chen Xudong) and Zhao Xixi (as Sun Lu)
I’ve seen her in some well made dramas, never seen him before.
This was so sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
The chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥. In fact, she is physically attracted to him from the moment they meet and the drama shows that really well with plenty of shirtless moments showcasing his abs.
Their scenes & interactions after they start sleeping together was so natural. The conflict was believable.
Would highly recommend.

I don’t know what rock I was under, but I just discovered him this past week and I cannot get enough.
I don’t remember the name of the drama, but it was a modern drama and he has trauma around his mother‘s death, the FL thinks she is his nanny, but it’s actually for his contract wife role and he ends up falling in love with her, of course.
There is a scene on the balcony where he is remembering the past about his mother and trying to light a cigarette and is crying. That did it for me….. His acting was so beautiful and natural while looking devastatingly handsome.
Also, what do you mean that he’s only 24 years old?!!!!
(the only other actors that I have loved in their crying roles and have been heartbroken with them is Liu Xiaoxu from short drama world and Ding Yuxi from mainstream dramas)
Now I need more of Zhang Chi to watch.
Someone please help me with recommendations.
