OMFS deaneries advice?
Don’t know how many maxfax folk lurk around here, however some impartial advice would be appreciated! Coming to the end of my 2nd year out of 3 of my second degree so I’m now thinking ahead to ST1 apps. Very unsure about where to go to train, but have lots of advice from various SpRs and consultants (it’s a small world) but feel as though everyone who I’ve spoken to is biased to where they are/base their opinions off rumours about other areas.
I am pretty flexible with geography (bar Northern Ireland) as where in the country I’m from, where I went to uni (both times) and where I’ve worked have all been different places and I thankfully have a partner who is equally as flexible and also have no dependents.
My main criteria would be getting LOTS of operative experience and to be in a supportive working environment. I’ve mostly worked in and around London and really enjoy it here but I do hear varying reviews in terms of how hands on in theatre trainees get to be.
Any pointers would be enormously appreciated!
