"We had over 100 people apply to this position, why should we choose you?"

Lol I don't know if it's just me, but this question from a hiring recruiter during an in person interview just felt way out of place and innapropriate.

Was completely out of nowhere, totally normal interview answering regular questions and then BOOM.

I gave a polished answer but after that I knew I was not going to work for this office. Just sounds like "dance for me peasant, prove to me your worthiness".

Is it me or is it my agency?

Hi Reddit,

I have been with my captive agency for 6 months as a Producer. I am now on a PIP and currently looking for a position as a CSR which I think might suit me better if my agency's standards for sales are pretty much the industry standard.

I am not provided any leads, aged or live or info-only. They told me awhile ago they would like me to sell about 80,000-100,000 in premium a month ideally. I just don't see how that can be possible with just my natural market and going to dealerships/mortgage lenders/apartments and networking (which I have been doing) I don't live in a super huge city either like Houston/LA. I feel like if this is what most agencies expect I need to let the idea of making a Sales Producer my career go.

So reddit, what would you do in my situation?
