Hi I have a question for anyone who has or know of anyone who experienced anything similar. I read some posts on airwarriors but they were pretty old saying chances of a commission after declining are slim. Maybe times have changed? Im looking for some new feedback/experiences.

I put SNA as my #1 choice and NFO as second because my recruiter recommended having a fallback option. I have since realized that NFO does not align with my long term goals and I would most likely decline if selected for that.

My question is: If I decline a commission, especially something aviation related, does that leave a mark on my package and tank my favorability for the next board(s)?
