light cone sequence - 9/10

has a good tune, no tap and tiiiny wiggle, flips w a lot of end weight and sounds very quiet. comes with extras but not original box

cold blade naut v2 - 7.5/10

on ss washers; has a good tune, no tap and veeery tiny wiggle, flips SUPER quietly and also fixed the slap that it originally came with. small scuffs on the bottom of g10 and substandard hw (makes the balance better tho). comes with box and og silver hw. does not come w extra bushings or washers tho 😾

specifically just the bushings if yall got any lying around

would take the pivots and screws as well 😺

ngl it’s gotta be one of my fav flippers, it flips the same as a cf naut but feels rounder and sounds SO FAWKIN GOOD

finding the silver blade config was a bit of a hassle but i got it for 170 😋

one of the handles has bad washers so i gotta get that situated first, then will post a sound test

looking for specifically this colorway with the silver blade, can be dinged up but MUST sound nutty and have a good tune

i dreamed of specifically 2,

i remember myself unboxing an AS FE sasori and an AS cf naut; the naut was sick looking, it was all black with red liners, it also had a stonewash pattern on the blade which reminded me a lot of the berserker armor. i already owned a cf naut so i remember how it flipped (fucking amazing btw). the sasori was purple

but the AS sasori stood out to me. it was amazingly neutral and carried perfect tip weight, fanning and rollovers a were dream (literally lmao).

to yall that own the sasori, is it everything i could’ve ever wanted? how does it compare to other clones?

8/10 - has a few marks on the handle and spots on the blade which i can show pics if needed, but otherwise all is cosmetic.

put it on ss washers and auth green ti hardware (would sound much better on steel hw btw if that’s what ur going for, i have tested it)

comes with box, card, and (slightly stripped) blue hw + extras

decided to put it out for trade cuz i already have another, but still kinda hesitant cuz this thing is a beast; it would take a lot of convincing for me to sell it

not specifically sure what im looking for, other than absolutely nutty-sounding balisongs, and i mean hella good.

boy did i have a run in with this one.

it was shipped to me with the hardware all jumbled up so i had spent the past 3 weeks or so trying to get it to sound good. for the first week and a half, i had to sand down new bushings over an entire mm and a half by hand (took many hours) cuz i couldn’t find an orientation that fit with ss washers

then i ran into a problem of a handle being uneven, causing one side to sound ticky. after days of trying to change the zen pin orientation, i realized the handles were uneven, to which i tried bending them back by various means.

at some point i stopped trying to bend straight titanium (stupid idea ik) and sanded the handles a little bit too much, leading it to be what i assumed as completely fucked

out of desperation, i decided to sand the washers down, and now it sounds good 😭😭

all the high cortisol events led me to not taking this and other balisong tunes for granted, i have further adopted the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality

in the end, i got a balisong that finally meets my preferences woohoo

i made hot glue inserts, sanded down the blade steel text, and sanded the zen nipple nd it looks to my liking now

i think im going to sand down some authentic ti hardware to make it even more neutral

reminds me of a balix telesto, which i enjoyed more than this due to its balance

def will be a daily tho, its so satisfying to flip
