I just installed OEM crash bars on my 2023 moto guzzi v7 and I'm here to tell you about an issue I had.

The upper mounting plate was incorrectly made from the factory. The nuts welded on to it were not aligned with the holes for the bolts. I could have sent it back, but I decided to deal with it myself. I ended up dremeling out the holes, re-tapping the threads, and then painting the part of the plate that I gouged up with the dremel.

Once I fixed that, it went together pretty smoothly. Well, relatively smoothly. As an amateur, I had to try a couple times. But it all came together, and I think it looks pretty good.
