I am christian and honestly do not know what to think of revelation. I know this might be a redundent post on here but does anyone have a clearer explanation of the book ? From what I've gathered online it's either that it already happened and is a metaphor for the era of christian persecution by rome or a very literal prophecy set to happen sometime in the future. Anyone willing to help ?

Isn't it crazy how so many arguments against christianity aren't based in any theology but rather based out of ignorance or misinformation ? Really shows a lot of the true faith's most fervant critics seemingly haven't read a single verse of it. It's insane how much of it i see on social media, and the amount of likes for these kinds of posts is quite disheartening. I pray for them.
