I really don’t want to buy another controller, is there any way to fix this?
I’ve been playing with the same controller that came with my PlayStation 5 since I bought it in 2022. I’ve never had any issues with El Cinco until about a month ago when out of nowhere stuff like this kept happening. Even if it’s setting on my desk, it thinks I’m pressing L2. Same thing happens if I touch the left joystick at all. Also, 9/10 times I actually press L2, I get stuck aiming down sights. Haven’t been able to play any games and if I try to watch something with the controller on it just keeps rewinding.
I’ve tried taking it apart and gently cleaning both the joystick and L2 with a microfiber cloth, (worth a try.), but it only made it worse. Then I tried factory resetting the controller incase it was a software issue, but that didn’t help either. I’ve asked everyone I know, half of them haven’t even seen a controller do this. Any help is appreciated.
