tamu disappointing me
Rant: So I’m a student worker and I’ve been talking to some of my full time coworkers (not profs) who barely make a livable wage for a single adult household. I find out that they are required to pay for their own parking permit TO WORK on campus. It feels like the school is using any opportunity to make more money :(( (not to mention the prices for lots and garages are getting more insane every year)
Some other recent things I’ve noticed is that the dining hall has gotten way more expensive since I’ve been a freshman (I eat now and then with a friend who lives on campus). Also during the banana ball game there were like a ton of other events happening on campus DURING finals weekend and student who had lot 100 passes had to still pay bc of all the events just to study on campus.
atp it feels like everything is a cash grab and a chance to rip off poor students and people in general :(
