hi guys!! i'm pretty new to drawing (just picked it up again a couple weeks ago, so i'm still learning how to draw) and i wanted to go digital with my first drawing tablet, but i have no clue what to get.

i'd rather not have to be tethered to my pc, which is why i considered the s7 fe (being $150 on amazon), but it's 5 years old and has reached its end of life with android updates. is that.. a problem? i think it would be, but i literally have no clue. i'd probably be using ibis here so idk how updates work with that.

i've also been stuck between the xppen artist 12 3rd gen (for ~$200) and the huion kamvas 13 gen 3 (also ~$200) for displays. i really have no clue what to get here. do i save up a little more money for something that'll last me longer? i'm a broke college student, so i ideally don't want to touch $400, and $350 would be pushing it a little. any recommendations? advice? harsh insults for trying to get into digital before knowing how to draw? thank you! :)
