I’ve been looking at land to build a custom home and hoping to get a rough idea of what people are actually building $/sqft in Austin/central Texas? Specifically Hays county if it makes a difference.

I'm looking for somewhat higher end finishes (wood floors, metal roof, stone exterior, lots of windows, paneled appliances, covered patio etc.) Probably in the 3500-4000sqft range, 4 bed/4.5 bath + office.

I like the layout of houses like this or this to give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

Can anyone share what is realistic these days? Is $400/sqft doable or way too low for what I’m seeking.
