All of this occurred alongside news reports about the Egyptian president's visit and the training of soldiers on the Israeli Trophy system to counter drones. Furthermore, in 2019, an Egyptian F-16 fighter jet penetrated Israeli airspace on a mission to bomb terrorists in Sinai. However, it was intercepted by an Israeli F-15, the commander of the Israeli 122nd Squadron. He was surprised when the Egyptian jet locked its radar after a sharp maneuver. It turned out that the Egyptian F-16 was simply trying to identify the enemy aircraft, after which it unlocked its radar and returned.
