Shanghai SPD(上海市公安局特警总队) typically wears SWAT patches and are often called Shanghai SWAT though the official translation is "Special police department"

this is since 特警(SWAT) literally means "special police", so in shanghai the literal translation is used; 总队 typically translates to corps but in this case they used department instead

The Shanghai SPD is considered one of china's main counterterrorism units and have participated in several raids, hostage rescues and have provided security for multiple large events such as george bush's china visit in 2001 during the APEC summit.
