Austrian EKO Cobra and WEGA operators responding to an armed robbery in Vienna, 06.08.2026
An armed robbery took place on the 06.08.2026 at the auction house "Dorotheum" in Vienna, prompting a large scale police operation. The CT police unit EKO Cobra, as well as WEGA and further specialist police units were dispatched to the scene. The suspect fled, and officers launched a search operation while securing the surrounding area. No casualties were reported, the suspect is currently still on the run.
