Let me start by saying i love the few and rare posts of this groups discovery of the aug. Ever since i was a kid I’ve been infatuated with fire arms and the military’s weapons so much so that in elementary school i was getting written up and sent to in school suspension for my drawings of guns. Im almost certain in this day and age if i was a young kid in school again drawing those same depictions of guns id be flagged as a risk or kicked out of school. My only guess as to why I’ve loved firearms at such a early age is the countless action and war movies I’ve watched with my father. I still remember the moment i seen and held my first bullpup rifle. I have one of those cool uncles that ever since i could remember hes always had badass cars and badass guns. One day after school he showed up to show me and my father some rifles he picked up. In the passenger seat of his corvette he pulled out two bullpup aks. One of them i specifically remember being Egyptian and the other i believe was Romanian. I was in awe and so confused on how the hell they operated. During that same time period i was getting very heavy into airsoft guns. Every birthday i asked for a new one and i was going out my way to cut lawns in the neighborhood to buy more. 2009 and the release of call of duty mw2 is when my love for bullpups specifically the aug was cemented. I remember unlocking the hbar and putting absolute belt to ass with it. Suppresed with the holographic and a usp45 with the tac knife and scavenger was a world eater class. I don’t think me or my friends seen grass for a year or more. One birthday i asked for a new airsoft gun and my father decided to take me to the Tampa flea market. After looking over a few shotguns and one shot pistols and rifles i noticed a stand tucked in a corner of the building. At that stand on a shelf attached to peg board was a od green stg 77 with the donut of death. In the box was a Electric aeg with two mags and a sling. I remember being so stoked and ready for the weekend to have another airsoft war in the woods. That was my first aug and i remember being brought to tears when the gear box in it took a shit. Fast forward to now this past November i became a father to a beautiful lil girl and decided i wanted to treat myself and i knew just the rifle to fulfill that achievement. I believe Since December I’ve been lurking in the aug group and I’ve been studying setups and the strong suits , quirks and malfunctions of the platform. Every time someone posted knowledge on the aug i read. Whether that be malfunctions or ways to be proficient with the platform or parts that fit or didn’t fit. I noted all the brands that have major support for the aug. Any time Ian from arid dropped knowledge i read (tag him if you guys will im not sure how to) i took in so much information and still continue to do so every time someone drops knowledge or experiences. I want to thank you guys for everything that led up to this build of mine. I want to specifically thank Ian for being such a supporter of the aug and dropping the knowledge that he does in peoples posts. Hello, im about to order a Steyr Aug if I can find one. So at first I was looking for the A3 M1 because I read the M2 you need an adapter for it to not have a gap in the front if you go for a kind of classic look and I dont know how it looks like with it or where to find the adapter. If someone can help me find it id probably go with the M2. But if I cant can someone help me locate a legit website for an A3 M1 ive checked Bereli (doesnt twll me if its in stock or let me put in cart im guessing I cant), Eurooptic are unavailable, PSA are out of stock, same with Atlantic Firearms for the M1. I want a Black Steyr Aug 16" NATO version in 5.56. Thanks in advance and I appreciate it.

Edit: I think I found a webstie with an A3 M1 in stock I dont know if its legit though can someone tell me if theyve gotten something from them its Buds Gun Shop.

Just picked up my AUG. Is this area supposed to be this way? It looks like a piece chipped off and not an intentional cut to me.
