Movie Recommendation: Ladies First
Plot: an extremely misogynistic man wakes up in a matriarchal society.
Honestly, I have been disappointed by the film industry giving platforms to shows like The idol and Euphoria, and now we finally have a good movie that doesn't objectify women.
I liked watching this, it was a lighthearted comedy movie with social commentary, so I came to Reddit to see what other people might be saying, and omg, the comments are atrocious! so much hate. They all say it’s nothing new and unoriginal ( as we haven’t seen every version of copy-paste superhero James Bond movies); some even said it’s sexist. I mean, yes, it’s not Oscar-worthy, but it’s a good decent comedy movie.
Please watch this movie. I feel like if we don’t talk about how good it is, Hollywood will stop funding any movie that is female-centric and pro-women. and just stick to dishing out shock-value soft p\*rn like HBO does. The YouTube comments and Reddit are all filled with hate for this movie.
