Cat shaking his head a lot, meowing
Hi! I just got home from work and my cat (male, approximately one year old, indoor only for the last 6 months) is shaking head a lot and meowing. For the last few days he’s definitely been trying to get my attention (scratching things more aggressively than usual, getting on the counter) but I chalked it up to him being bored and especially since I’m at work/school so much and looked into some new toys for him. For the last hour, though, he’s started shaking his head very frequently, somewhere around a few times a minute, and meowing a lot. I checked his ears to see if he might have mites or something similar, but they look fairly normal?
Since I looked at his ears he hasn’t shaken his head at all, or meowed at me. It’s possible he just had something stuck in his ear, but I thought I’d ask here to see if it’s advisable to make a vet appointment at this stage.
His ears look fairly clean, maybe a little shiny on the inside. I have pictures if that’s helpful (although it’s not letting me post them here, idk if that’s a community specific thing). Thank you so so much!
