hi im in central kansas usa and i saw this thing crawling around on my floor. my husband says its some kinda cricket, but i dont believe him, ive never seen a cricket like this, and it doesnt have the typical cricket legs. someone tell me im delusional and its a cricket or some other harmless bug. its the first bug ive seen in a while thats actually freaked me out. it moves its legs like a reptile and it puts me on edge.

so we found a little red spotted ant mimic spider in our house today and i was wondering if i should or should not relocate them. i let most house spiders stay, i love a good cellar spider roommate :) but usually when i see hunter spiders i relocate them outside.

i just started wondering - are they more likely to live longer if i let them stay or if i put them outside? i know house spiders it depends on the type and the weather. is that the case for the hunters, too? should i just let them live with me and crawl around my floor and walls? i dont even think theyd be able to find food here so i always just assumed it was better to bring them out. i just wanted confirmation on that thought i guess. thanks for the input!!
