Regal Jumping Spider (Phidippus regius) portrait – those chelicerae though
Macro shot of a Phidippus regius (Regal Jumping Spider). Loving the iridescent green/pink shimmer on the chelicerae and the reflection in those big AME eyes. Taken with focus stacking to get everything sharp from the eyes to the fangs.
This spider looks a bit like a widow, is it?
I found this on the lamp at my house, I live in Mexico city. Is it a widow? My cats were trying to reach it and while i generally let them be, this one looks suspicious
This spider has been on my porch for around a year. Today, I found that she had fallen out of her web & died.
What species is this baby spider that built a web/line between two hairs on my arm overnight (in Germany)?
I was just having my coffee and noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Little dude(tte) has been busy!
A few macro shots of several spiders I've met in the last year
Thought it'd be appreciated here !
Spotted what I believe is a trapdoor spider today!
I went on a walk today in middle TN and almost stepped on this guy. I believe it’s a trapdoor spider but I’ve honestly never seen one in person. If anyone happens to know a more specific ID that would be neat!
This crawled over me in the night, managed a safe catch and release. [UK]
Giant Spider in Rural Area of Brazil near Atibaia
Anyone know what this spider is? Is it venomous? It was right by my pillow!
Love Wolf Spiders but I Was Still Panicking A Tiny Bit
Props to my sister for being brave enough to film, she’s deathly afraid of bugs lol
Daughter’s First Pet
My daughter (6 y/o) has been wanting her own pet in her room for a while. She has always loved spiders (or pashees as she called them as a toddler) and I found this fishing spider at a local creek that I thought would enjoy this old palandarium I’ve had sitting in my shed. She named it “Girl Power”
anyone have advice on this (i think) egg sack on my banana ?
this has never happened to me before, i dont even know if this is a common thing or not but i found what i think is a spider egg sack on my tescos banana which was bought yesterday. i removed it with my mum with a screwdriver to see what it was and took a picture of the underside of it, opened the banana and it didnt look any different inside (def didnt eat it dont worry. the rest of the bananas look fine, just have a couple white bits all over them but honestly could be something else it was touching in my fridge, not sure
i was wondering if its even possible to tell what kind of spider it might be ? or if the eggs will hatch eventually and i should contain them somehow, or if its safe to eat the rest of the bunch ? thanks for any help
Found him/her in my kitchen. Central Missouri.
Giant Wolf spider. The leg was already missing when I captured it. Biggest one I've seen so far, since moving out here. Banana for scale.
Is this a spider? Philadelphia PA suburbs.
Folks on r/termites say this is a spider. We're freaking out. Will call pest service tomorrow to confirm but could this be a yellow sac spider? It fell on me while I was on the couch - no idea where it came from and it seems to have been dead when it hit me (didn't try crawling away).
