Proud of my peppers. I grow everything from seed and this is my 2nd year gardening.

I use old cd roms to keep my plants from touching the soil and it helps catch more sunlight.

& it provides an eco-friendly and inexpensive way to deter pests.

My lyrics

I learned to read the weather long before I learned the news
Never watched skylines, I kept my eyes on all of you
Summer turned to winter without a cloud in sight
I’ve watched whole seasons changing behind somebody else’s eyes
I’ve learned you cannot trust the weather, but you can always build a shelter
Some storms never send a warning, some leave scars that last forever
Don’t go looking for a villain, you’ll miss the woman in the frame
If that’s all you’re listening for, you’ve never heard my song
I’ve counted more footsteps than somebody ever should
Funny how a queen keeps her crown even from inside a dungeon
They can lock the door behind you, but they cannot decide your fate
Some of us find freedom long before we ever leave
Sometimes I wish I could not feel it, wish the air was just the air
Wish every silence wasn’t saying more than anybody shared
I’ve learned you cannot trust the weather, but you can always build a shelter
Some storms never send a warning, some leave scars that last forever
Don’t go looking for a villain, you’ll miss the woman in the frame
If that’s all you’re listening for, you’ve never heard my song
It’s like I never even sang
Some will hear a story about a king who lost his throne
But if that’s all you’re listening to, then you never heard my song
This was not written for him
It’s about the life that I’ve made
It’s about the girl who kept choosing love even when hate called out her name
After years of counting footsteps
I love listening for yours to come home
I still notice seasons changing, but I don’t live there anymore
You’ve taught me that peace is not perfect, it’s never having to hide
Turns out my home has a heartbeat, and I found it by your side
I’ve learned you can’t trust the weather, but you can always build a shelter
Love does not stop the storms from coming
It just gives you somewhere safe to stand
Some will hear a story about a king who lost his throne
But if that’s all you’re listening to, then you never heard my song
I’ve watched whole seasons changing behind somebody else’s eyes
Now when I hear footsteps, I smile
Because after all those years, I finally know what home sounds like
I finally know what home sounds like
I like to hear the home, the footsteps in my house.
