My husband hates when I garden but it’s the only thing that brings me pure joy some days.

“Life of the party” - a rose that changes colour!

It opens as a yellow rose, then the edges turn light purple, the middle of the petals becomes white, but the core remains yellow. An interesting rose, and also highly fragrant.

My cactus terrarium - nearly 30 species living in harmony.

I deliberately chose plants that are visually interesting.

I’d appreciate your thoughts and comments ☺️

I hope my terrarium inspires you 💫

The quiet promise of a tiny beginning. May your own small efforts lead to great things.

Mediterranean Balcony Garden

This summer isn’t as hot as the last four summers, so my plants are doing really well and look healthy 😍 I’m looking forward to kumquats this winter 😍

In the Garden

I love seeing my girls outside of the hive!! I was working in the garden yesterday and this girl dropped by to say hi! I grabbed a quick picture as she was hanging out on my squash.

Potted Petunias doing well this year.

Planted in early May, they just keep on budding and flowering with no end in sight.

I love our little slice of heaven.

Some photos from our rooftop garden in the city my spouse and I created together this year! I absolutely love this space and I could stay out here for hours hanging out with our animals and the plants. 🪴 ♥️

The results of my latest underground (growbags) excavation project. Behold the spuds!!!

Spent the afternoon playing in the heat and walked away with this beautiful pile. Some of these little guys are absolutely adorable, but hey - a potato is a potato LOL!

Planning to leave as is and cure for a week since it is 13 pounds and it is only two of us. Anyone else harvesting their potatoes right now? How did your crop turn out this season. Best season ever for me. I am truly thankful!!!!

Fifth heatwave (so far) and reflecting on gardening, wildlife, and our food

Finding that the easiest way to have a hopeful outlook for the world is to look for the beauty in the everyday and gardening. It's hard given the droughts, heatwaves, and wildfires though, but nature is resilient if we give it the space, time, and support. Hope it helps you all too a little during this insane time
