Still going strong, with many more buds to open. Hopefully the weather will allow that. It’s Dahlia variabilis, Classy Carmine, Virtuoso!

Just picked the last few bunches of grapes from our patio grapevine. And it was a good year, we probably got about 20 pounds of delicious grapes to enjoy this year, and we even picked them before raccoons got to them, yay!

It opens as a yellow rose, then the edges turn light purple, the middle of the petals becomes white, but the core remains yellow. It is also highly fragrant.

Not to be outdone by neighbouring Rhododendrons, our Azaleas are also exhibiting their May colours.

Most of our Rhododendrons and Azaleas flower during the month of May, and they mark the start of the season full of colours in our garden.

Our garden is getting more colour virtually daily, some of our Azaleas are now in full bloom.

It’s May, and our garden is becoming colourful!

It’s early spring, but this is a welcome sight in our garden.
