I know this is probably a dumb question, but if I do a buzz cut with a 1/16" guard, can I just run it all over my head repeatedly until I feel the length is the same?
I don't have a 3way mirror. The front looks fine, but I am not sure about the back. I have a 1/16" guard. I just ran it over my head in different angles, patterns, etc for like half an hour until it felt the same all over. I ran my hand all over my head and I don't feel like I missed any obvious spots.
This is my first time doing this and I don't have anyone to help. So does what I did make sense? Thanks for your help.

The image attached is the haircut he wants and i can clearly see that there is a LOT of hairspray in there, so I understand if that might make it harder for someone to help me :(
Also if this is in the wrong subreddit pls feel free to redirect me, i’m a reddit noob. 🫡

Any good barbershop or salon that can cut this hairstyle?
Ive been cutting my hair at those typical hdb barbers and dont think they can/want to make the effort of pulling this off. Anyone have any recommendations thats not too pricey too(<$40)? Also should i go for barbershop or salon? Heard salon better at styling but never tried before
if i cut my hair short, will it get in my face constantly and will i still be able to tie it up
i haven't cut my hair since august 2020. not even for trims. i don't trust barbers because I'm scared they will cut it too short. i noticed my hair stopped growing around 2-3 years ago. it has always stayed halfway past my ribcage. if i pull my hair as far down as i can without pain it goes just above my asscrack. i don't feel it has grown a nanometer. this is one of the main reasons i considered cutting it. i wanted to let it grow just below my hips before i cut it but its been a few years now and that just hasn't happened. the other reasons are for youthfulness, and in relation to the title: so i can wear my hair down and it not get in my face while I'm working. if that's possible. i want to cut my hair to neck/just above the shoulders length, similar to the cut i had 10 years ago. I've seen many photos of myself from that time and i almost never wore my hair up like i do now. i barely recognize myself. i actually look better with my hair down, and have been told so by many people, but i don't wear my hair down because its long and gets in my face while I'm working. i find it really strange that it hasn't grown much over the past almost half decade because over a decade ago my father had extremely long hair. his hair then was longer than mine is now. i asked him a few months ago how he got it so long and he told me it just grew and grew. so did mine until it didn't anymore.
for people with the type of hair i want: is it true that you can do physical labor with your hair down, and based on everything you know from this post is it a good idea if i cut it
important: my hair type is 3a. I'm not thinking anything crazy for the haircut. just cutting it smoothly just where my shoulders begins
Women, how would you feel if a guy was genuinely fascinated by your haircut transformation?

Cutting 2yo Hair
I cut mine and my families hair. My 2 year old boy has insanely thick hair and I am struggling. Its straight but its so thick that it stands up near the crown. When I use the clippers on the sides its easy but Im struggling to cut the top. I feel like its a mountain of hair and I cant keep track of the sections while hes also nonstop moving.
Anyway, Im wondering, whats the deal with using clippers on the top? I dont want him to look stupid but right now he kind of already looks stupid so Im open lol. I cant find any videos online about thick hair and clippers on the top. (Also professional cuts are out, hes terrified.) any advice at all welcome!!
Complete Beginner: Wahl Magic Clip Black & Gold Combo vs. JRL Onyx for starting self-haircuts?
Hey everyone,
I have absolutely 0 experience cutting hair, but I’ve decided to take the plunge and start doing my own self-haircuts at home. I’m looking for a premium, reliable setup that will last me a long time. I don't mind making a solid one-time investment upfront if it means getting a high-quality tool that makes the learning curve a bit smoother.
I’ve narrowed down my choices to two popular options available on Amazon UK right now, but I'm torn on which direction to go for a solo setup:
1 Wahl Cordless Barber Combo (Black & Gold) – Currently listed for £189.00 This bundle includes both the Magic Clip clipper and the Detailer Li trimmer, along with guards and a case.
2 JRL Professional Onyx (FF220C-B) – Listed for £149.99 This is just the standalone clipper but comes with its own
charging dock and features a digital display.
Since I am doing this entirely on my own head, which of these would you recommend for a beginner?
Dramatic change? (I don't have many pics sry)
i want a dramatic change to my appearance. Not a glow up, just a change. I dont want to improve my skincare, and i cant lose any more weight. I dont know if i want to just cute my hair, dye it, or SOMETHING. But i just want a drastic change.
