Flattop Haircut

Looking for a true classic military inspired barbershop, flattop specialist, comfortable with a military high n tight flattop.

Any recommendations? I’m willing to travel around Ohio.

I’ve never had a flattop, giving the marine regs flattop a shot once I can find the right spot to go. Ready to ditch the high n tight combover

How do I cut my hair so it flicks in the back?

I want my hair at the back to be flipped like Cliff Booth has in once upon a time in hollywood. The salon guy on youtube has done 2 videos breaking this haircut down but has never fully explained how to cut the back to get this. What kind of layering do you need or is it just a length thing and alot of product? Thanks for any advice.

What are good short haircuts if I have EXTREMELY straight hair??

So I have like insanely straight hair and it pmo sooooo bad bc most haircuts need like at least wavy hair, which I do not have. I keep looking for a haircut that would make me look like a guy and that doesnt need any products, as for some reason I cannot deal with the texture of products in my hair. So if anyone knows a great haircut to pass with straight hair, PLEASE tell me. anyways ty love u guys

How would you say this translates to fine/thin hair, and are there any tutorials you could point me to to cut it?

My hair is currently touching the end of my shoulder blades and I'm sick of it.

Advice...where do I go from here?

Long story short, I wanted to go for a kind of "italian bob", some inspo pics included to show more or less what i was going for. I cut twice- two weeks ago to a lob to see how i felt about shorter hair, i thought it came out nice. Finally went to cut it to ultimate goal but think i botched it. Now, im wondering, should I:

  1. do something else to finish it (if so, what techniques could i use?)

  2. just go to a salon and ask for help (if so, how can I avoid going shorter if possible?)

  3. leave it and try to style it better?

is a self trim w dull scissors better than no trim at all?

i have these old-ish hair scissors that i used maybe 3 times for hair and occasionally for other snips but nothing crazy. i know you have to replace them but im not doing that atm. and i also don’t have the option of getting it cut professionally. my hair is long and ive dabbled with bleach and such, it’s pretty healthy for what ive put it through its just so thick and i know how much i need to trim it to return my sanity. i just dont want to ruin my hair by using bad scissors. would i have to trim more often? (bc thats okay to me) or is it really just not worth it.
i don’t know if i should add a pic of the state of my hair, not sure if that’s helpful in this question.

Making bangs spikier

If I wanted to try to get my bangs to go from how they are, to the spikey bangs in the second photo, would I literally just cut the spikes into my hair or is there a better technique? Or is it more reliant on styling?

Gave myself a haircut😋😋

I was going for a jellyfish cut, this is what it looked like before, braided + styled (to the best of my ability lol), and unstyled

I messed up cutting my hair and I think I gave myself a very poorly done mullet.

Not even including any pics. I just had to scream into the void a bit here. I messed up… bad LMAO. I always cut my own hair but I started with too much and then it just went downhill from there. My advice to anyone going through the manic hair chop? Start small and then work your way up. I went ham and now I am in despair. I really don’t want to but I’m thinking I’m gonna have to go to a hairdresser to get this garbage evened out 💀

Best mirror setup for cutting my own hair?

What do you use? 360 view that's simple and good. Been blind cutting the back and hoping 4 the best. I don't even want to look lol

Used a razor to trim the split ends and thin my hair out

My hair was routinely very heavy and thick, and it made summers quite a mess. But i do like having long hair

And since i use razorblades to shave with, i decided to take one and just graze the blade along the surface of my hair. I took out all the frizz and knots forming and the split ends, and made my hair quite light

The only off detail is it's a bit wide?? Like i dont know hot to hit it, but it feels like all the volume of my hair went straight to the spots just above my ears. I cant tell if its just because thin hair lifts up more cause it's lighter, or if i need to keep trimming

Do I (18F) shave my head?

hello! i have Trichotillomania, a disorder where i compulsively pull out my hair and can’t stop. its been over 7 exhausting years of hiding bald spots and crying because i never feel pretty. i got a mesh topper and extensions early this years and honestly the stress of making sure the front is glued down (it never is and i spend 30 mins in the morning just to sob bc it won’t stick to my head).
im so incredibly done with this.

i know my parents will be mad but im an adult and they can’t change it if i shave my hair - I genuinely have been wondering if I should just shave it off and wear a full wig (which from what I’ve seen , melting a lace front would look so much more natural than the hair I’ve got on at the moment sewn into my remaining natural hair).

advice for should i shave it and wear a proper wig?

im tempted to just get up and go to the bathroom and shave it off no warning before I overthink it, but I don’t know how I would stop my parents from being mad at me.

ive tried EMDR for my trauma and years of therapy (since I was 10 years old for PTSD) but I’ve never stopped pulling, and have massive bald spots on the top back half of my head, the left side and down behind my ear on the left too.

please help

Sharp Burst, Clean Lines ⚡️💈

This one was all about the details.
Kept the sides tight with a clean fade, left some length and texture through the top and back, then added the lightning-style design to give the cut a completely different character.
The design took some patience to get the lines sitting right, but I liked how it finished up. Simple fade, bold detail, and a little personality in the back. ✂️⚡️

How to blend the "weight line" when combing over hair?

My wife cuts my hair and does a good job. It's a basic cut, 3/4 clippers on the side and scissors cut the top (stays long). However, we always struggle with the weight line where the hair combs over. I have a left side part and when combing over, the hair near the top of my crown seems heavy (not sure how to describe it). I've watched dozens of YouTube videos and no-one seems to explain how to taper this back properly (we kind of just wing it).

Is there a proper way to do this and blend the hair along the weight line so it looks natural? Is there a good YouTube video showing this? Thank you
