I was wondering if it’s possible to achieve this kind of texture (picture 1) with a perm on super straight asian hair? And how long it would last? I’ve always wanted this kind of haircut but I’m worried it might not come out the way I want it to :/ Any advice is much appreciated!
Hey! So I my hair type is between 1C - 2A, leaning a bit more to 2A, but getting straighter as I get farther from hair wash day.
Is this look achievable without styling? If not, how would you get this look? I want my waves to be more defined but they’re not curls. Thank you!!
Six years on HRT and I've only had this one hair style. My hair is thick but normally flat, and the thing I am most dysphoric about is my damn forehead. Every trans girl goes for bangs to hide their forehead, but like what kind of bangs would look good on my round / square face? Also I have a problem with hair touching my face which I realize is a personal problem :(
Yup. Like any other 18 year old going through a crisis, my first reaction is this urge to dramatically change my appearance. First 3 photos is my hair currently. As you can see, I got quite a bit of length going on! Last 4 are some ROUGH inspo pics (yes 2 of them are screenshots from a TikTok, SHHH.)
I’d like to get a pretty short pixie - no relaxer, leaving my natural hair texture. However, I’d like to leave some length - just enough to straighten my hair and maybe do finger waves or a straight pixie look! I just gotta wonder - do I got the face for it?? The features??? Or should I keep trying to grow my hair out? I’m SO unsure and I don’t want to commit unless I’m 100% sure!
Heyo, I’m growing my hair out for the first time and it’s been a while since I last had a trim. Like 8 months or so… I’m due for another one but I’m wondering how bad/urgent it is. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get one. It is currently drying. I don’t see too many split ends but it does feel kind of dry towards the ends.
I’m terrified I’m doing like irreparable damage and I’m gonna have to cut a bunch of it off
Any help is appreciated!
I’ve spent that majority of my life having fairly long hair (first picture) with the same haircut and everything. There was a brief time when I had shorter hair with bangs, which is the second picture. My hair does look straightened or blow dried in that though. I’ve had various hair colors of the years.
I’m now 30, and the last 3 pictures are current. I’ve unfortunately experienced a lot of hair loss over recent years, overall and especially around my hair line. Because of this, I stopped dyeing my hair 3 years ago, as well as straightening/curling.
I worry that my heavy hair causes too much pressure on my scalp because I put my hair in a bun or pony tail a lot and may be contributing to the hair line issue? I’m not sure, but either way it feels like a lot of weight.
So, what type of hair do you all think I have and what type of haircut do you think suits me? I’m thinking something shorter maybe, but the few times I have gotten a shorter cut, my hair looks super poofy and weird, so I’m worried about shorter cuts but I’m open to ideas to make it work.
Thank you for any ideas!!
Hi!! I’m currently struggling if I should let my hair grow out or go shorter. I’ve had it bob length for a while due to someone over processing my hair the prior year and had to constantly let it grow out a bit and cut off more of the damage. I’ve had to keep it short for a long while to get the health back but never really had it shorter than the bob in the second picture I have from what I am told 2c-3b mix of curl pattern and an oval face shape. Some people say shorter hair suits me the best while others say the opposite. I also have this thought since I am a trans woman that due to my features I’d look bad with shorter hair than the bob. The pics I attached is my current length ,my shortest ,and the longest length I have had my hair/ would want to grow it back out the length.
I'm the first pic and my hair starts out very flat on the top of my head and gets more volume as it comes down how do I get the effect that the second girl on the left has with all that volume on top? also my bangs suck and I have no idea how to shape them to go the direction I want again like the second pic. please help me 😭
First three are after pics and the last three are before pics. Idk how to make my curls look good. This is after dyeing it Light Honey Brown and then using some curl mousse and diffusing with a blow dryer.
Any advice is appreciated
Im going swimming later, and I just washed my hair and don’t want it to get ruined by chlorine again. Does anyone know a few cute hairstyles for my hair that would be able to keep it above shoulders/neck?
infront are the what i call twin tails, but if i just say twin tails people think i mean pigtails. what are these called?? i love them so much and i can find more examples, i just dont know what theyre called
I've been growing out my black for about a year now, I did lighten the ends to try to match but I'm just feeling not myself with it. The goal was to grow out my natural colour completely. Do I stick with it or just dye it black?
I need some help :( I've seriously never felt so ugly in my life. My confidence is rock bottom and I don't feel like I can even wear feminine clothing anymore. Please help with suggestions for styling. I have some headscarves and a wig but I don't even have the confidence to wear it. I never realized how much of my self esteem came from my hair being past my shoulders.
I recently had my hair cut a little shorter, and I think the shorter length looks pretty good too.
I washed it once. Or maybe it's not fading but it never was prominent enough? She told me she used the colour rose on my hair. I washed it once with kinda cold water (like body temperature water). Was that the original colour? Help me please.
Also what should I tell her? To be honest I don't think I want pastelle pink 😅 i mean it is pretty but barely visible when hair is natural.
Hi everyone! I'm wanting to dye and cut my hair but I have an extremely judgemental family and I'm not sure what to do. I cut my hair for the first time in my life in 2021 when I was 21 I cut it medium length and used a red hair dye that goes over brown hair after that I continued doing things to my hair I've had bright red hair, bleached blonde, pixie cut, and bobs. My mom thinks women can only have long natural hair she often makes fun of my sister and calls her white trash for having dyed hair and when my hair was dyed or cut she'd constantly say things like I don't know why anyone would be stupid enough to cut their hair or I wish you still looked pretty. I was happiest when I had red hair I used to have more confidence and take photos of myself and wear cute outfits but now I'm afraid to cut or dye my hair again because I don't want to upset anyone and I also think everyone is judging me constantly like every time I would talk to my mom when my hair was dyed I thought she's looking at me thinking I look stupid I also think I'm very ugly and I've thought it more lately. I don't wear cute outfits or cute hairstyles or take photots anymore and every time I see a mirror I hate my hair and everything about me. I'd love to dye and cut my hair and feel confident again and wear cute clothes but should I just not do it so my family doesn't pick on me?
I’m not sure exactly how to explain the texture of my hair, no matter how much I brush it, it’s hard to run my fingers through, it never keeps a smooth look, and straightening or blow drying it has not helped 🥲. I’m wondering if anyone thinks they have similar hair to me and products they are using to keep it looking and feeling smoother. I am using the dove damage therapy shampoo and the intensive repair conditioner and then ouai leave in conditioner. (I do know I need to cut the dead ends but even when it’s cut it feels the same)
