Stress

I feel like my app is not enough atp. I remember being happy over my 515 but then I just see how many greater apps are out there. I also have a 4.0 science with a 3.9x cumulative as a URM FGLI but I’m still told it’s not enough to be competitive for T20s. Like I’ll be happy at any MD school but the feeling of being locked out just feels like applying to undergrad all over again with a bad SAT 😔

Academic inconsistencies

I’m just wondering if I should declare my 124 CARS as an inconsistency? I have a 515 overall and a 3.93 cGPA (4.0sGPA). One B and one B+.

Stat balance

Ok I’m a biochem major. 515 MCAT with a 3.93 cGPA and 4.0sGPA from a Top 30 school. I’m wondering how much the GPA can nudge me to justify applying to 518/519 median schools? I’m interested in Rochester and Hofstra as a NY applicant.

Premed/prehealth

So based on what NYU publicly shown, “Competitive” apps have a 3.6-3.7 GPA and are above 88th percentile on the MCAT (514). I’m curious on what do they mean by competitive? Is it an arbitrary label or is it backed by most premeds getting in with those stats?

Also anyone has personal Anecdotes on not getting accepted with these benchmarks?

Low subsection stories?

Hello everyone, I would like to hear about a few
apps that had a low subsection in their MCAT despite a good overall score (512+) who applied a previous cycle. I’m wondering how it went? By low subsection it could be subjective but would like to hear about 124 CARS if possible!
