Eye of God

Eye of God

Eye of God (C63) refers to the Helix Nebula (also cataloged as NGC 7293). Located about 650 light-years away in the constellation Aquarius, it is one of the closest and most famous planetary nebulae to Earth, formed when a dying Sun-like star shed its outer gas layers.

Dwarf 3, 45 second exposures with 60 gain from Bortle 7. Processed in Siril using Naztronomy scripts.

Trifid Nebula

Dwarf 3 from Bortle 7 skies. A mix of duo band and astro filters blended in Siril. EQ mode allowed me to have 45 second exposures at 60 gain. I did small touch ups in Pixelmator.

I also got this idea of creating Astro inspired jewelry. I don’t know how to make jewelry but I wanted to imagine what’s possible with 3D printing. Gemini AI created these jewelry pieces based on my photo.

The Veil Nebula

I tried Dwarf 3 mosaic feature. It somehow limited me to 100 frames per panel. Whatever I did, I could not override this 100 frame limitation. Is there such a limit?

In any case, I manually stitched two panels of approximately 200 frames each in Siril and processed. I did not know how to manually stitched two panels so AI helped me.

Cocoon Nebula

The Cocoon Nebula, designated as Caldwell 19 (IC 5146). Around 200 minutes from bortle 4. I am very happy that I was able to capture the dust cloud.

M27 out of Siril before processing in Pixelmator

In image editing (Pixelmator) I darkened the background by playing with the curves. Most of the image processing was performed in Siril using various scripts like Veralux.

M27 Dumbbell Nebula

Tried hard to get some nebulosity around the white dwarf. This is the most I can squeeze from bortle 7.

gain 60, 60 sec exposures, duo band, multi session over two nights.
