My theory about life, reincarnation, old souls, and why we might actually be living in a type of Matrix
I've had this theory about life for a while now, and I'm curious whether anyone else thinks something similar.
I believe that we're all souls, or energy, and that our existence goes far beyond being human.
My theory is that before we were born, we existed as spiritual beings, and at some point, we actually chose to come to Earth to experience what it means to be human.
I believe we choose certain lessons we want to learn before entering a human body. But once we're born, we forget who we really are and become completely immersed in the human experience.
And that's where my theory about young and old souls comes in.
I believe a younger soul is one that hasn't experienced many human lifetimes yet. When a soul first enters a human body, it's suddenly exposed to all these unfamiliar emotions, desires and instincts.
Things like jealousy, greed, lust, anger, violence, addiction, fear and the desire for power. These are all parts of the human experience that a soul might not yet understand how to navigate.
I wonder whether this explains why some people struggle more with certain behaviours than others.
Then, when we die, our soul leaves that body and eventually enters another one. We start a completely new human life, perhaps in a different country, culture, gender or circumstance.
Each lifetime teaches us something different.
Maybe in one lifetime we experience poverty, in another wealth. In one we're the person causing pain, and in another we're the person experiencing it.
And through all these different experiences, our souls slowly begin to understand what it truly means to be human.
I believe this is how souls become older.
After experiencing many lifetimes, perhaps we become more compassionate, empathetic and understanding. We learn to recognise our human impulses rather than allowing them to control us.
Maybe that's why some people seem naturally wise, compassionate and deeply connected to other people and animals.
But here's where my theory gets even more interesting.
What if we chose this entire experience before coming here?
What if Earth is essentially a learning environment for souls?
Perhaps we agreed to experience hundreds or even thousands of lifetimes until we'd learned everything we originally came here to learn.
And once we've completed those lessons, we no longer need to reincarnate as humans. Maybe we move on to something completely different.
I also wonder whether we've experienced life through other species before becoming human. What if our souls have experienced existence as animals, or even creatures that lived millions of years ago, like dinosaurs?
And then there's the idea of God.
I don't necessarily believe God is what traditional religions describe. I wonder whether what we call God is actually something so far beyond human understanding that our brains simply cannot comprehend it.
Perhaps it's a universal consciousness, an energy or something we don't even have the language to explain.
This also brings me to the idea of the Matrix.
What if we really are living in a type of Matrix, just not the technological simulation people usually imagine?
What if the physical world is simply an environment our souls enter to experience life, and our human bodies are essentially the vessels we use to experience it?
We become so caught up in being human that we forget we're something much bigger.
And maybe that's why some people feel like there's something more to existence than what we can physically see.
I also believe in soulmates. I wonder whether certain souls travel through different lifetimes together, sometimes as lovers, sometimes as family and sometimes as friends.
Maybe that's why we occasionally meet someone and feel an instant connection, almost like we've known them forever. Perhaps we actually have.
I'm not saying any of this is fact. It's simply my personal theory about existence, and I find it fascinating to think about.
I'd genuinely love to hear what other people think.
Do you believe we're souls having a human experience rather than humans who happen to have souls?
Could reincarnation be a process of learning and spiritual growth?
And what if the Matrix isn't a computer simulation at all, but something spiritual that we voluntarily entered?
I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone who has developed similar theories or has a completely different perspective.
