Hot even while idle, but not while playing the game
I have had a 5070ti Acer Predator Helios AIs for months now, and since the beginning I have been noticing, or coming to find out that Acer used very mediocre thermal paste for their laptops. My laptop runs slower than my cousin's laptop which is the same one since the beginning. Idk if its because he uses a big fan under his laptop but I am having suspicious that I am going through thermal throttling due the fact that I can't play Apex Legends maxed out at 1080p locked at 150fps because the fps keeps going up and down, and that isn't just on that game. My cousin has recommended me to undervolted but I think that it is wild that I have to mess with that to have my computer running properly. My PC just being idle runs at 80-100c. it is horrible worse computer I have ever had. My 4060RTX Chinese prebuild with an i5 ran better than this shit. Don't get me started on the battery, it is worse not doing anything than playing my Steam Deck on max lighting with the most demanding game playable on it. I am considering calling warranty but I wanted to see if anybody is dealing with this mediocrity too and if they have found an solution. For example I want to replace the paste myself but idk if that will void the warranty.
