30 days in, 0 users - honest lessons from marketing a Shopify inventory tool

I've been building an AI-powered inventory management tool for Shopify sellers for the past few months. Marketing it for 30 days straight now. Here's what actually happened:

  • Cold emailed 24 small stores. 0 replies. Wrong audience — stores with 10-20 products don't feel inventory pain.
  • Instagram DMs got 3 replies on day one, then my account got throttled. Channel burned.
  • Shopify Community flagged my account 3 times. Even helpful replies got me silenced.
  • Reddit has been the only channel where being genuinely helpful leads to real conversations.
  • SEO is slow but working. My blog posts are starting to show up in Google for "shopify inventory management" keywords.
  • The hardest lesson: building is the easy part. Getting anyone to care is the real product.

Still at zero users. But strangers are finding the product through Google now, and I'm having real conversations with people who have the exact problem I built for.

If you run a Shopify store with 50+ products and deal with inventory headaches, I'd love honest feedback. Free access, no time limit. DM me.

Built a standalone Shopify inventory app (not on App Store) - looking for feedback before I start the listing process

I've been building an AI-powered inventory management tool for Shopify sellers. It connects via OAuth, syncs products and 90 days of order history, then does demand predictions, reorder point calculations, ABC analysis, purchase orders, and dead stock detection.

Right now it's a standalone web app (not embedded in Shopify admin). Before I start the App Store listing process, I'd like feedback from other devs and anyone running a Shopify store.

Specifically wondering:

  • Does the OAuth flow feel smooth?
  • Is the dashboard useful or overwhelming?
  • Anything broken or confusing?

You can try the demo without signing up at debnix.com (click Try Demo) or sign up and connect a real store for full access.

Appreciate any honest feedback.
