PC loses signal while gaming. Only fix is to manually hold the power button to shut down and restart.
I've been having this issue for a while now. When playing games my PC will turn black and a message will pop up saying "Entering power saving mode" and I can only force shut down and restart which makes it really frustrating. Usually the sound will cut for about a split second when the screen turns black, and will return for 5 seconds before cutting off completely/last sound will play on repeat before it gets cut off. Sometimes my screen will also just completely freeze/drops to 1 frame every 5 seconds before completely freezing.
It mostly happens while gaming but it can happen even if I'm AFK on my PC with only chrome open or right after I just restarted it from the crash and I'm on the page to key in the password, forcing me to redo the same process of shutting it down and restarting it again.
My specs are:
Motherboard: Z490 AORUS ELITE AC
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K
RAM: 32 GB
PSU: 850 Watt
What I've tried:
Reinstall windows
Replaced a GPU
Replaced a PSU
Replaced all old wires with new ones
Applied new thermal paste
Replaced a new CPU cooler
Using DDU to uninstall and reinstall GPU drivers
Replaced CMOS battery
Ran a memory test and temperature test (PC can go to 60-65 degrees celsius without crashing)
Ran a security scan on pc to check for viruses
Reseated GPU and checked that wires are properly plugged in
Swapped the HDMI cable that connects GPU to monitor
and more i prob forgot
My last resort is to replaced the motherboard since its pretty old.
Anyone has a solution? Please help. Thanks
