“Confused between IIFA, MAAC, and Arena Animation for a diploma course. Need honest advice”
I’m planning to join a 1-year diploma course in animation/VFX in Bangalore and I’m confused between institutes like IIFA, Arena Animation, MAAC, etc.
My budget is around ₹1–2.5 lakh. I’m still a beginner in drawing but I seriously want to build a career in animation, storytelling, and eventually anime-style projects.
I’ve seen a lot of marketing online from institutes, but I want real opinions from students or people working in the industry.
Can anyone honestly tell me:
- Which institute actually teaches well?
- Which one has the best student portfolios/showreels?
- Are placements actually real?
- Is a 1-year diploma enough to get started?
- Which institute should I avoid?
- How much self-learning did you have to do outside college?
Also, if anyone studied at IIFA specifically, how is the real campus and teaching compared to the advertisements?
