Hi all. I work as a summer trail intern for a state park, so am outdoors for a majority of the week before returning home to my rabbits for the weekend. I encounter a lot of ticks on the job, and for the sake of safety am considering treating my clothes and boots with permethrin to reduce the risk of being bit.

Does anyone have experience with owning permethrin-treated clothes while caring for rabbits? I have no intention of directly exposing them to permethrin and am wondering if it’s safe to handle them with treated clothes or have them around treated footwear. I also can’t find much information on its toxicity risk to rabbits when it’s dried, so any information is appreciated!
