Do you recognize these rabbits? Help solve a crime (text NSFW, photo SFW)

Passing along a request from Dolly's Dream Home to recognize these rabbits and find out who did unspeakable things to their babies. Location: the greater St. Charles, MO, area.

Original post: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DMh7KJ9iM/

>>>

There are 55,000 of you here now, which means we have 55,000 chances that ONE person recognizes these rabbits.

And right now, we need the internet to do the thing it does best: know everybody’s business.

Last night, we walked deep into the woods in St. Charles looking for a dumped bunny and found something we’ll never forget. 5 Californian White bunnies - 2 adults and 3 babies - had been killed and skinned. Their bodies had been left behind and, in one case, we believe deliberately arranged.

But 3 survived.

Girly Pop was found earlier in the day and brought to our emergency veterinary partners. Later that night, our rescue team caught Glory and Grapes in the same area.

Glory is lactating. We believe the 3 deceased babies we found may have been hers.

Our 3 survivors witnessed things no animal should ever experience, but somehow they made it out of those woods alive. Barely.

Then you guys did something incredible.

Within 20 MINUTES of our original post, someone recognized their rabbitry tattoos and we identified the breeder they originally came from.

20 minutes! Never underestimate 55,000 rabbit people with Facebook accounts and a mission.

The breeder has been cooperative and is going through her records to help determine who purchased them. Unfortunately, it sounds like the records available may be pretty limited…so now we need to work backward another way.

We’re asking 55,000 people to look at these 3 faces.

Not the tattoos this time.

THEM.

We believe these rabbits were likely living somewhere around the St. Charles, Missouri area. Californians are pretty recognizable by their seal points and somebody may have seen this group before.

Maybe you’ve seen them at a friend’s house.

Maybe your neighbor had several white rabbits with dark ears and suddenly doesn’t.

Maybe someone recently mentioned getting rid of their rabbits.

Maybe you remember seeing Glory, Grapes or Girly Pop somewhere and didn’t think twice about it at the time.

This is your official permission to think about everyone you know and be a little nosy. Then send this post to your nosiest friend because, frankly, this is their moment.

Think through the people you know, then SHARE THIS POST so they can do the same. We don’t need all 55,000 of you to recognize them. We need this post to reach the ONE person who does.

Please do not publicly accuse anyone, contact people you suspect, or start your own investigation. If you recognize these rabbits or know anything that could connect them to a previous home, PM Dolly’s directly. We can get legitimate information where it needs to go.

Even the tiniest detail could matter.

Because somewhere between the rabbitry that bred them and the woods where we found them, these rabbits belonged to somebody.

And then at least 5 of them wound up skinned and dead.

Help us figure out how.

While we work on this, Glory, Grapes, and Girly Pop are resting. They’re slowly learning that the hands reaching toward them now are bringing food instead of pain.

Sound UP on the video. Listen to those crunches.

After everything these 3 survived, the sound of 3 rabbits peacefully eating may be the best sound on the internet today.

Yesterday they were running for their lives in the woods.

Today they have 55,000 people looking for answers.

3 little faces.

55,000 people.

1 person out there knows something.

Let’s find them.

My new little Bun!

Calling her BunBun at the moment and waiting for her free roam pen setup to be complete. Been doing so much research and so happy 😊 any tips for a new Bun Mama? She's 10 weeks currently and born June 6th I believe. Shes only in a temporary pen until her bigger free roam one arrives tomorrow

Rabbit that change colors.

Hello rabbit parents!

I was wondering, did your rabbit change color as he grew up too?

As you can see in the pictures, Itachi was black and grey while now he is black and brown !

Yes, it's the same bunny, I promise ! 😂

New rex bunny.

Hi all,

Today we picked up our 5 year-old from a "coupling vacation". He found a new girlfriend (she's too young to be a bunwife). She is a rex. Now here is what I find strange. She is only 4-5 months, microchipped, but she was found alone outside. I assume they tried to contact their family. Maybe she escaped and they never registered the chip? But then why didn't they look for her? (She was in a known bunny shelter). I mean you go to the trouble of going with a breeder and then just lose the bunny?

She is very soft and pretty but not spayed yet. Which stresses me a bit (I know it can go wrong). Here is a photo.

my beautiful twix passed away this morning

he was sick and in the icu last week for a couple days but i took him home once he was stabilized, he was home with me for 5 days and was scheduled for tooth extraction this morning at 8. I woke up at 6 and he was still in his pen, and then at 7:30, I just saw him laying with his eyes open and would not move. He was not himself in the past couple of weeks and was trying his best to stay strong. I really thought he would be back to normal once the surgery was done today but I am glad in a way, he passed away at home with me and I could say hello to him in his last moments.

Everyone meet Biscotti! He's claimed his corner of the couch (pee-free luckily)

He was a rescue from a local APL, syphilis survivor, and a handsome fella all in one. Luckily his hoe days are behind him so now instead of scary std's he just eats celery and watches trailer park boys

We lost our guy this weekend

To say we are devastated is an understatement. We got lucky in 2019 as a rescue and he was a part of our family for the last 7 years. He was the favorite part of my day he would come to his pen corner to be pet and let free to roam. He was seriously the best guy we could have asked for.

Litterbox question for those with a fluffle

Hello! I recently bonded a group of 3 bunnies. I am finding that the work is sooo much more than two rabbits together. I always had one litterbox for a group of two. I have tried 2 litterboxes, but, they go bad soooo quick. Not to mention, one of them likes to poop and pee outside of the litterbox.

I'm thinking of adding a third litterbox and expanding the area a little bit more to decrease the amount of pooping outside of the litterbox?

I'll take any tips. I have never had more than a duo before
